Imhotep was an ancient Egyptian polymath who lived during the 27th century BCE. He is best known as the architect of the Step Pyramid of Djoser, which is considered to be the earliest colossal stone building in Egypt. Imhotep was also a high priest, physician, and scribe, and he is often regarded as the world's first known architect and physician.
