Marcus Licinius Crassus was a Roman general and politician who lived during the 1st century BC. He was known for his immense wealth, which he acquired through real estate and slave trading. Crassus was also a member of the First Triumvirate, a political alliance with Julius Caesar and Pompey. He played a significant role in Roman politics and military campaigns, including the suppression of the slave revolt led by Spartacus.
