Galeazzo Ciano was an Italian politician and diplomat who served as the Foreign Minister of Fascist Italy from 1936 to 1943. He was also the son-in-law of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Ciano played a significant role in shaping Italy's foreign policy during the years leading up to World War II. However, he eventually fell out of favor with Mussolini and was executed in 1944 for his opposition to the regime.
