Rameses II was the third pharaoh of the 19th dynasty of Egypt and is often considered one of the most powerful and influential pharaohs in ancient Egyptian history. Rameses II is also famous for his extensive building projects, including the construction of numerous temples and monuments, such as the Ramesseum and the Abu Simbel temples.
