Publius Aelius Hadrianus, commonly known as Hadrian, was a Roman emperor who ruled from 117 to 138 AD. He is known for his extensive travels throughout the Roman Empire and his interest in architecture and the arts. Hadrian is perhaps best known for commissioning the construction of Hadrian's Wall in Britain, as well as the famous Pantheon in Rome. He was also known for his military campaigns and his efforts to consolidate and strengthen the Roman Empire. Hadrian is often remembered as one of the "Five Good Emperors" of Rome, known for his administrative skills and efforts to maintain peace and stability within the empire.
