Jacques René Hébert
Jacques René Hébert was a French journalist and radical revolutionary during the French Revolution. He was known for his involvement in the radical faction known as the Hébertists, who advocated for extreme measures to advance the goals of the revolution. Hébert was the editor of the radical newspaper "Le Père Duchesne," which he used to spread his revolutionary ideas and attack the enemies of the revolution. He was a strong supporter of the dechristianization movement and played a significant role in the Reign of Terror. Hébert was eventually arrested and executed in 1794 during the Thermidorian Reaction, which marked the end of the radical phase of the French Revolution.
